A wood floor is also another place to take design cues if you have one but wood floors seem to be more forgiving than cabinets when adding wood furniture to the kitchen.
Another key thing to think about before adding kitchen furniture is to match the style of the cabinetry. Some modern cabinets are made to look like kitchen furniture so it is important to take this into account if your have this type cabinetry.
